Wayward Strand Game Review

Wayward Strand is a heartfelt emotional narrative game interspersed with a myriad of threads, all of which are played out at the same time on an airborne hospital in 1970s Australia.
Wayward Strand is a game in which Wayward Strand you play as Casey Beaumaris, a teenage girl that is in an institution for very first time. Over the course of three days, she will examine the story of the ship, as well as the life of the people who live there, and their relationships to their fellow passengers.
On board, she’ll be able explore the bedrooms of the ship’s odd and delightful residents, choosing the people she’d like to spend her time with and meet them. The staff can be shadowed and look around, or go on a tour of the vessel for a deeper understanding of its past.
The patients at the hospital comprise a variety of people, with many different personalities – some charming and some less so – each with their own set of goals, desires, and imaginations. They do whatever they want, independent from the persona of their character.
The time of stay of 3 days Casey has on board the vessel allows her to look into the lives of others, who Casey will then study. Every character acts and moves in their own way in their own way, according to their own personal timeline – sharing news with each the other, sharing opinions, or arguing; joking; gossiping – or having a chat with Casey whenever she stops close.
Casey will look into her airship’s numerous stories to find out how her actions can have an impact on them.
